Get up and running in three steps

All accessories come with a Quick Start Guide. You can find step-by-step instructions for certain accessories by logging in to clover.com/help.

If you forgot your password or haven’t activated your account before, select Access your account on clover.com/login. If you’re still having trouble, read our help article.

You can find your device activation code in the following locations:

Clover Web Dashboard: From a browser, log in to your Clover account. The activation code is displayed in a banner across the top of the dashboard home screen. (After the device is activated for the first time, the banner disappears.)

Email: The business owner receives the activation code via email when a device connects to a network for the first time. (If an existing device requires a factory reset, a new activation code is sent to the owner via email.) The device activation code is also included in the shipping notification email sent to the owner when the Clover device ships.

Text messages (SMS): If the business owner set up their Clover account prior to device activation, they can opt in to receive the activation code via text message (SMS). If the owner is opted in to this service, their partially masked phone number appears on the screen when prompted to enter the activation code.

Clover devices are designed to ensure that payment information is encrypted. You’ll be asked to do a yearly compliance check to make sure your business is meeting the standard for protecting customer data. Learn more about PCI compliance.

Clover device: Tap Help on the home screen.

Phone support: Find your direct support phone number in your Clover welcome email.
